Our Scandinavian Salves have always been a great compliment our Nørdik line. The salves are especially healing to the skin, particularly in the cold winter months. We formulate the salves to be extremely healing to the skin, especially for dry elbows and feet.

This is our line of premium Scandinavian derived organic bath and body products. They were formulated using mostly sourced Scandinavian ingredients. They were all given product names of Nordic origins. They contain pure therapeutic grade essential oils (most are organic). Our Nørdik Scandinavian Salves were formulated using old Swedish formulas to create the base of our Scandinavian Salves. We add a synergistic blend of organic essential oils that match the Bar Soaps and the Hand and Body Moisturizers bearing the same name. We are very proud of this line offering as Mike's grandparents emigrated from Scandinavia; his grandfather from Finland and his grandmother from Sweden. Our Scandinavian Salves are packaged in a silver metal tin with a screw cap and a round label attached.
The quality ingredients that go into this product include the following:
Anti-inflammatory: Camphor essential oil is anti-inflammatory. It leaves a cooling effect that is very effective in relieving pain. It is also used to suppress the pain caused due to neuralgia by contracting the blood vessels and easing the pressure on the cranial nerve. Anesthetic: Camphor oil has the property to numb the sensory nerves in the skin and hence can be used as a temporary anesthetic. Using the oil can offer relief from pain caused due to insect bites, mild burns or skin irritation. We use a small amount of Camphor essential oil in our Medicated lip balm, but it does make for a great ingredient to add to this formulation to aid in the relief of painful dry lips in cold winter weather.
Our organic menthol crystals are fair trade certified. These carefully crafted crystals are a 100% natural product that originate from Organic Menthol essential oil extraction. Menthol crystals are cooling, refreshing, and have a pleasantly strong minty aroma. They are often used in cosmetics, salves, balms, medicated creams, throat lozenges, pain relief products, and cooling gels. Since menthol crystals are so concentrated, only a very small amount is needed within products.
The Lingonberry is Scandinavia's most widely harvested wild berry. It grows in dry soil, especially in spruce forests and lichen-covered ground. Lingonberry is very popular as an ingredient for its beneficial effects on skin. The berry extract contains large amounts of flavonoids, moisturizing properties, phenol compounds and antioxidants. The seed oil promotes skin renewal. Antioxidants and essential fatty acids (omegas) provide the skin with important nutrition. The leaves of the Lingonberry plant contain arbutin, which has a lightening effect on skin discoloration. Lingonberry has high levels of vitamin C, which protects and brightens the skin.
We recommend that you apply your Scandinavian Salves every day. Because of the heavy formulation only a small amount will be necessary. It may seem a little greasy when first applied, but it does readily soak into the skin, doing its job of quick healing. Smooth into skin, massage gently and enjoy your soft skin and great Nordic scent. Most people use the salves on the feet and elbows, but it works anywhere the skin needs a little extra help.
